Pioneer has a whopper of a unit for MUSE Hi-Vision discs. The Pioneer HLD-X0 (black) weighs in at 36kg (the Sony HIL-C2EX doesn't even hit the 15 kilo mark on the scales) and measures 460 x 217 x 479mm (w x h x d). It has a very clean-lined design, looking almost spartan in relation to previous high-end units such as the Pioneer LD-S1. As is the norm for Hi-Vision units, the HLD-X0 also plays conventional NTSC LDs. Price is was Y800,000.
